This is the home I share with my husband and our French Bulldog, George. In our hearts is another French Bulldog, Benjamin, who we lost in October, 2017. The homes and spaces I create for my clients vary anywhere from wildly different to having only some similarities to my own home. My home is a reflection and representation of me and my family and the home I will create for you is unique to who you are; your interests, personality, values, lifestyle, family needs, and budget.
I have a special fondness for homes built in the 60s, especially mid-century modern homes. These were the homes I played in and babysat neighbor children in while growing up in a small suburb outside of Portland. Our house was built in 1963. It sits on Mt. Tabor in SE Portland and there are 40 steps to the front door! The view is stunning, but the house was dated and smelled something awful. It was in dire need of a complete makeover. My husband (a residential General Contractor) and I remodeled the entire home.
We didn’t move any walls, but peeled back every single surface and repainted every inch of wall and ceiling space. Every room was updated while retaining the mid-century features; including the pale pink tub and sink in the master bath and the wood-paneled walls and wood ceiling in the living room. The kitchen was a complete redo. Nothing could be saved, but the result is fresh and in keeping with the rest of the house.
