Rustic Kitchen Makeover Featuring Reclaimed Materials, Open Shelving, and Farm Sink

I designed this affordable kitchen remodel using salvaged or reclaimed materials. The only new materials are the lighting, the kitchen faucet, and the angle iron that supports the shelves and the countertops. All the other materials are salvaged or, as in the case of the wood countertops, floors, and ceiling; created with reclaimed materials. All work meticulously done by Dave Fischer Creative.

The ceiling is made of old wooden bleachers from a local college. The Crane farm sink was found at Aurora Mills antique store. The pantry, cabinet doors, and drawers are salvaged leaded glass windows or doors.

All together, not including the appliances, the total cost came to around $12,000 including labor and materials. See a before and after photo on Apartment Therapy. (After images taken by Michael Jones.)
